Friction loss calculations are critical to the appropriate sizing of pumps in large, closed-loop commercial ACMV systems. In this project, the proprietary software FluidFlow™ and various spreadsheet techniques were used to conclusively calculate the maximum friction loss of the longest circuit run in a hydronic ACMV piping system.
